DJ Cuppy endorses Labour Party ahead of UK election

Popular entertainer, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, otherwise known as DJ Cuppy, has endorsed the Labour Party (LP) in UK ahead of Thursday’s general election.

She disclosed her decision in a post on microblogging platform, X (formerly Twitter) and explained that she endorsed the opposition against the ruling Conservative Party because “sometimes a change is necessary.”

The billionaire heiress, who is also a British citizen, urged her fans in the United Kingdom to vote for the Labour Party as the election draws nearer.

According to DJ Cuppy, it is unlike her to pick a side in politics, but she attests to the fact that votes actually matter in the UK unlike some other democracies.

Sharing photo of herself carrying, Cuppy wrote: “While it’s unlike me to pick a side (and yes, no political party is perfect), sometimes a CHANGE is necessary! …In the UK, your voice actually matters, so GET INVOLVED this Thursday! #CuppyDat #GeneralElection2024 #GE2024 @UKLabour.”

The Disc jockey’s announcement comes after Peter Obi, the 2023 candidate of the Labour Party in Nigeria also threw his weight behind the UK party and asked residents to vote.

The 2024 UK general election will determine the composition of the House of Commons, which determines the government of the United Kingdom.
