Nigerian music executive, Paul Okoye, better known as Paul O, has opened up on the role he played in ensuring the career success of superstar singer, Davido.
He said Davido was turned down as many as six times by a company when he was new in the entertainment industry and he had to fight to get the DMW boss accepted.
The talent manager shared a video of him with OBO, and disclosed that it is all about hardwork, and much respect he has for the Grammy nominated musician.
According to Paul O, at the time what he spoke about happened, the only hit song Davido had was Dami Duro and after much persistence, the company made a U-turn and agreed.
He wrote; “Is all about hard work !!! Respect!!! Then Davido have on One song !!! Duro!! I fight for that job for him !! The company say no to me 6x I come back fighting before they say Yes. it is well !!! !!! I’m not born with golden spoon, is just hard work”.
Affirming that the story the music mogul shared online is correct, Davido took to the comment section and dropped a simple “fact”.
In the viral video, the artiste also revealed that Paul O was the person that gave him the first N10 million naira he ever earned.
