Contract breach: Angel Unigwe’s mother denies Kanayo’s allegations, takes legal action

Juliet Kings Unigwe, mother of teen actress, Angel Unigwe, has dragged veteran actor, Kanayo O Kanayo to court over his allegation of her breaching terms of a contract.

Days ago, Kanayo called out Angel and her mom in a video on social media, accusing them of unprofessional act during a project.

He issued a warning to the teen diva while claiming that Angel Unigwe’s mother is in the habit of breaching agreements with movie producers after receiving payment.

The movie star said he had an agreement with Mrs Unigwe for her daughter to be part of a movie shoot till 12 am, but she reneged. According to him, at about 9 pm, Angel’s mother stormed the movie set and took her daughter away, before the shooting was complete.

Reacting to his statement, Juliet denied everything Kanayo said and emphasised that she and her daughter are hurt by the ‘unfounded allegations’.

Juliet, who is also Angel’s manager, stated that legal action has been taken, and she wants the security agencies to intervene in the matter and guarantee Angel’s safety.

She said; “First, for the public record we wish to state categorically that we hold sacred the terms of any contract we enter into and we are fully committed to performing all lawful obligations required of us under such contracts.

“We vehemently deny the false accusations and slanderous statements contained in Mr. Kanayo’s video. We want to assure the public that we have done no such thing and are deeply hurt by these unfounded allegations.”
