Ayra Starr feeds 21 families for her 22nd birthday

Sensational Nigerian musician, Sarah Aderibigbe better known as Ayra Starr, has partnered with the Lagos Food Bank initiative to make food available to 21 families in Lagos state.

The humanitarian drive which took place on June 19, 2024, was part of activities to mark the Mavin Princess’ 22nd birthday which fell on 14th of June 2024.

In a statement released by Ayra’s management on Saturday, it was made known that they were able to feed 21 families in the Agege area of Lagos.

The team explained that the short-term outreach involved distributing 21 boxes with enough food to sustain a family of five for two to three weeks, while the long-term set them up with adequate resources for poultry farming.

Expressing joy at the outcome, Arya Starr said; “I am just so grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative and use my platform in such a meaningful and impactful way. I cannot imagine a better way to celebrate my 22nd birthday.”

Feed the Bank is a non-profit organisation committed to combating hunger and providing a sustainable means of living to vulnerable persons in underserved communities across Nigeria.

The outreach was attended by members of the Mavin Records team and the LFBI Team, as well as the beneficiaries of this initiative.

Big Brother Naija star, Chomzy had disclosed in 2022 that she planned to feed 20 million Nigerians in her new project.

The reality TV star made the announcement with a video of her new project entitled “Feed the street with Chomzy” posted on her social media pages.

In an interview that went viral Chomzy explained that the project was targeted at feeding millions of Nigerians including children.

According to her, it was something she had done before but, she intended to do it on a larger scale and expand her reach to 20 million people.

The BBNaija star stated further that she planned on undertaking and accomplishing the project goals through her teams, Nongovernmental organizations as well as the streets.

“This is something have Done before but this time I intend to expand it to 20 millions people,” Chomzy had said in part.
