Kano Hisbah to marry off 50 journalists in mass wedding ceremony

The Hisbah Board in Kano, has sent out a wedding invitation to 50 journalists in the state as part of its plan for the second batch of the mass wedding program.

Commander General, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa stated this on Thursday, May 2nd while briefing newsmen on the upcoming wedding ceremony.

According to the Hisbah boss, 50 slots have been allocated for journalists to have their loved ones participate if they desire.

Daurawa said; “Following the success of the last mass wedding, which saw about 1,800 couples married off, the board decided to extend the invitation to interested members of professional groups and trade unions.”

The commander also revealed that the board would include legal practitioners and health workers in the next batch of the exercise.

Sheikh Daurawa said the essence of the mass wedding program was to entrench moral values in society and reduce immorality among able-bodied young men and and young women.

The guy sent an email to a Non-governmental organisation, Halal Foundation to intercede on his behalf and make his situation known to Nigerians.
