Drama ensues as Daniel Regha snubs Toyin Abraham after she demanded to see him at event

Nigerian Influencer and social critic, Daniel Regha has fired back at popular actress, Toyin Abraham who said that she wanted for see him after he criticised her movie.

She noted that Regha had given a negative review on Twitter about ‘Ijakumo’ and she was hoping to see meet his face-to-face at the recently held Trendupp Awards, so that he could say the same things to her face.

According to Abraham, she summoned the vocal commentator so that he will tell her the areas where she needs to improve on the movie, and it will be better done in person.

She tweeted; “My darling @DanielRegha hope to see you today face to face at trendupp awards so you can kindly tell me where you need me to improve in film making🙏🙏

I saw your tweet on IJAKUMO and I will be happy to see you so you can tell me where and where to work on. Hope to see other lovely influencers aswell today”

In reaction, Daniel told her that he heard she wanted to see him, but he ignored the request because of the respect he has for her as an actress.

He lambasted the actress for supporting the APC-led after what happened during the #EndSARS protest in 2020 because it goes against what he stands for. The Twitter Influencer reiterated his earlier criticism, saying her movie was poorly written and directed.

Regha tweeted; “Hi @toyin_abraham1, I was repeatedly told u wanted to see me, but I chose to ignore cos while I respect u as an actress, u supporting this govt after the EndSARS protests, goes against everything I stand for. That said, “Ijakumo” movie was poorly written & directed. No offense.”

Meanwhile, CorrectNG reported weeks ago that Daniel said he will not accept any money from music star, David ”Davido” Adeleke.

He stated this during a chat with Big Brother Naija star, Doyin on her podcast, Doyin’s Corner while talking about his failure to fulfil his N20million giveaway promise. According to him, there are people who will offer him money and he will turn it down for certain reasons.

Regha said that people should learn to keep to their words because it does not make sense that one would get the hopes of many people up like OBO did and just dash it without any explanation.

The controversial critic said the only instance one should retract such promises is when they learn that the person or people they want to help are not deserving or engaged in questionable acts. He said that he learnt that some celebrities make such giveaway promises as a publicity stunt so that they can get engagement.

It may be recalled that early 2022, Davido had offered to support small businesses financially, saying that the situation of things in the country was really tough.

He said N20 million will be shared to 20 people, and he had promised to distribute the money on the Friday of the week he made the post. The DMW boss then asked interested persons to send in their business and start-up ideas for him to review and select lucky beneficiaries.

“Country🇳🇬 hard right now sha … let’s give 20 m to 20 people on Friday … send in your business ideas or start-up ideas … more details shortly #Wrbl,” Davido wrote.
